The area is predominantly residential, with a mix of single-family homes and retirement communities. The community is adjacent to the Withlacoochee State Trail, a popular hiking and biking destination, and the nearby Crystal River provides opportunities for boating, fishing, and swimming. The city of Beverly Hills in California is not located in Florida, and the Beverly Hills in Florida does not have the same level of glamour and wealth associated with its namesake.
